Osaka’s Halal Ramen, Osaka – Japan

As a muslim who loves ramen, I am saddened by the fact that I can’t eat most of the coolest ramen(s) I found. Especially sometimes at school when I can’t eat the ramen they serve because they forgot to make beef broth.

Then I found this reccomended restaurant when I was venturing google map, Honolu Halal Ramen. Non-muslim readers, you can also try this restaurant!

At first, I was skeptical because I’ve never heard about this name before. So me and my hungry family who just spent 7 and a half hours in a plane decided to check out this cool spot.

The restaurant is located in the less crowded street of Namba, not too far away from the city center. To help you find it, this restaurant is actually just a block away from a cool sightseeing spot called Nanbayasaka Shrine (picture below). I reccomend you to visit this shrine after eating the ramen!

The restaurant itself has many kinds of ramen, but as a spicy food fan I ended up ordering the spicy chicken ramen for ¥1080. They also serve side dishes like gyoza and delicious chicken karage!

They also have a small prayer room and toilet. Now, for the ramen itself. I really enjoyed how its not that salty or bland, because they didn’t use pork broth. The topping and spiciness are also so good that I ended up finishing my brother’s bowl.

If you don’t like spicy food you can also buy the normal ramen and its really as good as this one 🍜

For the room, they don’t really have that much of a space for customer to eat or wait. With only 10-15 seats to eat by the counter and a limited space to wait inside, you need to wait outside when its too crowded. Because yes, it is popular.

One thing that I reccomend you to really do when you visit this restaurant is that buy the ticket in the vending machine straight after you get to wait inside, then give the ticket to the counter. Since the ramen is served super fresh, you actually need to wait for 15-20 minutes for them to make it. So better use your time wisely!

They have a few branches like in Shin Nihonbashi and Hamamatsucho. You can check it and their menu out at their website!

Nevertheless, I would give this restaurant 900 out of 1000 stars (which is 9/10). Go visit them! I’ll put important informations below.
